Business & Finance

Samir Kumar holds a PGDCM from IIM Calcutta (2002–04) and has served as an investment banker with global institutions such as ABN AMRO, Deutsche Bank, and RBS. He has worked extensively across London, Tokyo, and Singapore.

Technology

A Silver Medalist from IIT Kharagpur (2001), Samir has deep technical expertise. He served as the Head of PBNS & Digital Platform from 2019 to 2023, leading several initiatives to modernize public broadcasting through digital transformation.

Journalism & Bureaucracy

An Ex-IAS (Allied) officer, Samir served as CEO of Hindusthan Samachar (2018–19) and later headed Prasar Bharati News Service. He played a key role in bringing structural and editorial reforms to India's public news ecosystem.

Creativity

Samir is a National Film Award-winning producer, recognized at the 63rd National Film Awards for the Maithili-language feature film Mithila Makhaan. The film reflects his deep-rooted interest in culture and storytelling.
